Frequently Asked Questions

Therapy works best when expectations are clear.  Many people begin with a brief consultation to see whether the fit feels right.

Here you'll find practical details about sessions, fees, and what to expect in therapy.

Sessions are offered virtually across Ontario with a

Registered  Psychotherapist (Qualifying).

✦

What are the fees for therapy sessions?

Session fees are based on the length and type of appointment:
• 15-minute consultation — complimentary
• Individual therapy (50 mins) — $155
• Couples therapy (60 mins) — $210
• Family therapy (75 mins) — $260

Receipts are provided after each session  for insurance reimbursement

under Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying).

Do you offer virtual therapy?

Yes. All sessions are offered virtually through secure, encrypted video. I work with clients located

within Ontario. If you are located in another province, please reach out before booking so we can

determine whether virtual care is permitted based on local regulations.

What can I expect in the first session?

Our first session focuses on what brings you here and what feels most present for you now -

not your whole life story at once. You set the pace, and there's no pressure to share more

 than feels right.

How often should I come to therapy?

Most clients start weekly or bi-weekly. We'll find a rhythm that supports your goals while respecting your schedule and capacity.

What does your therapeutic approach look like?

My work integrates evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT),

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), parts-based

approaches, and attachment-informed therapy.

My work is tailored to the individual while grounded in evidence-based psychotherapy.

Who do you work with?

People often reach out for support with things like:
• Anxiety and stress
• Perfectionism and burnout
• Relationship challenges
• Self-worth and identity
• Life transitions
• Grief, loss, or emotional overwhelm
• Attachment patterns (especially anxious attachment)

If what you’re experiencing isn’t listed here, you’re still welcome — therapy is about the human experience, not a category.

Do you work with 2SLGBTQIA+ clients?

Absolutely. My practice is LGBTQIA+-affirming, identity-safe, and grounded in cultural humility.

Is therapy confidential?

Yes. Your privacy is protected under Ontario’s professional and legal standards. The only limits

to confidentiality relate to safety and legal requirements — these will always be discussed

transparently.

Do you offer a sliding scale?

Reduced-fee sessions may be available in limited circumstances, particularly for students. Please

feel free to reach out if cost is a concern.

What is your cancellation policy?

A 24-hour cancellation policy applies. Sessions cancelled with less than 24-hours notice will be

billed at the full session fee. Exceptions may be considered in certain circumstances.

How do I book a session?

You can book directly through my secure online booking system anytime. A complimentary

consultation is available if you’d like to see whether we’re a good fit.

Still have questions? You're welcome to reach out.
